Green Caesar
"Green Caesar"
(Dragon Ranger and Dragon Caesar from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger)
As my favorite ranger back when I was in my youth, the Green Ranger (in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) always stood out among the other five. His outfit was visually distinct; from the inverted triangle patterns on the boots and gloves, gold morpher/buckler, and the armor and gold bands about, his very presence demanded appreciation... Well, that, and he started as Anti-ranger! When I did the other two Sentai illustrations, I couldn't pass doing the most outstanding one for myself.

A Walk
"A Walk"
(Original / Commission)
This piece was an interesting challenge mostly because of the more natural tone and the addition of a background - something I had yet to do since working with Prismacolor markers. considering the level of precise detail I was given with only the smallest bit of artistic liberty, I am extremely proud of this piece, and hope to do further things like this. It's a good change of pace from the usual anime/video game fan art I'm used to.

Chou-Ho
"Chou-Ho"
(Super Shinken Red and Shishi Origami from Samurai Sentai Shinkenger)
Another Christmas gift for another friend of mine (although completed very late). I assumed a lot of trouble with the Origami since it's blocky and static by-design. I think despite that complication, I made it work. I decided on using Super Shinken Red rather than his other variations because it sets a different tone and allowed me to have him contrast the pose of the Origami better. The scan drowns it out, but the emblem in the background was colored using a Gold Sharpie, which gave it a really nice metallic look!

The Glow of Youth
"The Glow of Youth"
(RX-78-02 Gundam from Gundam: The Origin, Gundam 00 [Q]an-T from Mobile Suit Gundam 00: A wakening of the Trailblazer, Unicorn Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam UC, and Gundam AGE-FX from Mobile Suit Gundam AGE)
A commission art for Gundam Guy for his website banner, used for the month of February. This piece became a testbed for a lot of experimental traditional methods never used before by me, including using chalk pastels to replicate the Unicorn Gundam's luminescent pschoframe effect.
*Watermark was place per request.

Violet Kiba
"Violet Kiba"
(GekiViolet and GekiWolf from Juken Sentai Gekiranger)
A Christmas gift art for a friend. This was my first Super Sentai/Power Rangers illustration I had done since I was a child (and I could hardly call those "illustrations"). I like the over-all composition and for doing an animal-based mech, I feel it turned out very well. It's a piece I was proud of, and am glad it's in hands of someone who probably loves it just as much!

My World
"My World"
(Self-portrait)
It's been a long while, but I'm finally feeling that welcoming invitation to art, again. For a moment, I thought it was gone for good...
This was the first piece of full color non-commissioned non-fan art I had done in almost 2 years.

Earthsphere
"Earthsphere"
(Amuro Ray and Char Aznable from Mobile Suit Gundam Char's Counterattack, Banagher Links from Mobile Suit Gundam UC, Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, and Setsuna F. Seiei from Mobile Suit Gundam 00 ~A wakening of the Trailblazer~ / Commission)
I was given the characters and space restrictions for this one, and simply worked within that. This piece went through two drafts, because I tried something different with Char and Amuro, but also lacked proper lineart for Banagher. The second one fleshed them out more proper, and coloring was a cinch, after that.
The background image is a random uncredited stock image I found, since there was going the main body of the website there. But I still did the lighting on the characters, accordingly.
EDIT: Here is the site using this, "The Hergula." It's used in the Mobile Suit Gundam sub-heading of their site, as well as all Gundam-related articles.
